It doesn't get much more Flori-DUH than this one. Earlier this week, in Miami, 64-year-old Fernando Aguilera walked into a convenience store and tried to trade a LIVE ALLIGATOR for beer.
Fernando had caught the four-foot gator at a park nearby, and he asked if the clerk would give him a 12-pack of beer for it. But the clerk called the cops instead.
Fernando was cited for illegal possession of an alligator, and he could get up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
The gator was released back into the wild. There's no word what kind of beer Fernando wanted.
There is a school in Midland, Michigan, where you can study to be a shopping mall Santa - not the real Santa of course, just a helper. Subjects include how to put on make-up, how to take care of reindeer, and how to deal with parents.
They describe it as the "Harvard of Santa schools" . . . because it's apparently the best school of its kind in the world. If for no other reason, check out the video to see how SURREAL it is to watch dozens of Santa Clauses hanging out together.
How awesome is this?! The Canadian airline WestJet recently asked passengers before takeoff what they wanted for Christmas. And when they landed, the presents came out on the CONVEYOR BELT at the baggage claim . . . wrapped and everything. They'd gotten 150 volunteers to actually go out and buy the stuff people requested . . . including tablets, free airline tickets, and a 50-inch TELEVISION.
They set up a "virtual Santa" station at two different airports, where passengers and their kids could talk to a video screen and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
So people did it because they didn't have anything better to do while they waited for their flight. But when they landed and got to the baggage claim, the presents came out on the conveyor belt . . . wrapped . . . with their NAMES on them.
It turns out that while they were in the air, the airline had gotten 150 volunteers to go from store to store and actually BUY the stuff people asked for.
Check out the reactions in the video...priceless!
Has any movie done more pre-promotion than Anchorman 2?...
Will Ferrell is continuing his all-out promotional onslaught leading up to the release of "Anchorman 2", which comes out December 18th.
Yesterday he was on "The Dan Patrick Show", in character as Ron Burgundy. And the highlight was when he made fun of the show's heavy metal intro for their sports "Stat of the Day" segment . . . and sang a much more mellow version. Here it is!
